On Thursday, it was reported that struggling Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky wants all of the TV sets in the team’s practice facility at Halas Hall turned off so he and his teammates can be shielded from all the criticism they are receiving in the media.
“Trying to get some of these TVs in the building turned off because you’ve got too many people talking on TV about us and what they think about us — what we should do, what we are and what we’re not,” said Trubisky. “But they don’t really know who we are, or what we’re capable of as people, or what we’re going through, or what we’re thinking. It’s just the outside viewers looking in. So tunnel vision, ear muffs and just come to work every day and try to get better and get back to what we know we’re capable of doing.”

MMQB spoke to five Bears players following Trubisky’s comments about the TVs and they all basically said they have no idea.
On the plus side for Bears fans, whose team now sits dead last in the NFC North at 3-5, at least Trubisky isn’t seeing ghosts.
Bears backup quarterback Chase Daniel said he believes Trubisky was just joking, but some out there (us) might call Trubisky’s stance towards the media, even if it was made in jest (which is certainly debatable), “soft.”
While others out there see a golden opportunity. Like, say adult film web site CamSoda, who made a public offer to Trubisky and the Bears a free VIP subscription to their streaming platform so they can chat with models about anything but football.
